Fault Management

In the Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) industry, perception is a key factor, with the end users normally being the traveling public. A manager of a well-maintained portfolio of assets will look to ensure that systems are fully operational the majority of the time and any faults are managed appropriately, with the appropriate processes, early warnings and controls in place.

Green Signals Consulting has a good understanding of Fault Management especially in relation to ITS systems and equipment. This enables us to provide services such as Fault Analysis, Process Review, Maintenance contract performance reviews all the way up to a strategic report detailing the state of play and how to make improvements.

Members of our team have managed and investigated faults on ITS Asset Systems (incl. Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS) and UTC/SCOOT), implementing amendments where necessary to ensure both the In-station and Asset Equipment on street are performing at their most efficient.

Our organisation has the capability to work alongside client engineers, providing on the job training and advice to ensure Fault Management continues to be a key part of the client’s organisation.

Alternatively, we can offer remote fault management services from our office, undertaking any or all aspects of fault management on behalf of a client, totally eliminating the need for any daily client interface. We realise the importance of a highway authority maintaining an awareness of the asset condition in their network, and strive to provide regular updates in line with the policy of the authority.

We are also able to provide other operational support on Asset Management, Asset Improvement/Refurbishment Programmes and Asset Management Monitoring Systems.
